Moyard Biennale—the third of its kind—took place this year during the Design Days of Renens, September 27, in Moyard’s 2,000 m2 workshops where ancestral furniture restoration technique and creation intertwined with today’s design. Moyard is not only one of Switzerland’s leading traditional, contemporary and design furniture retailers, it also collaborates with renowned and emerging artists for the conception of new furniture, and regularly offers them the opportunity to partake in an artistic interplay during the Biennale.
Over the course of two days, more than twenty contemporary artists from around the world converted Moyard into an art and design playground, exhibiting their works in photography, painting, sculpture, music and design.
Participating in this year’s event were Tonatiuh Ambrosetti, BIG-GAME, Flynn Maria Bergmann, Catellani & Smith, Vincent Cochet, Simon Deppierraz, Daniela Droz, EDITION by Moyard, Tete Knecht, Guy Meldem, Singal Mösch, Reto Müller, Marc Mussler, Vie & Vin au nez clair, Martina Perrin, Otto Cycles, Olivier Rambert, Riva 1920, Germinal Roaux, Adrien Rovero, Olivier Saudan, Christoph Stepan, Aurélie Strumans, artists that have gained recognition both in Switzerland and beyond.
