Is it time for a change?
Professionals with a fast-paced lifestyle and busy career rarely have time to step back and reflect on what they want to achieve. If you are struggling with the big picture, an Executive MBA might be exactly what you are looking for; it can provide you with the time, space, and tools you need to grow and develop in your career.
A programme designed for executives
The HEC Lausanne Executive MBA helps mid-life professionals transform their career, seize new opportunities, and re-think their profile, performance, and perspectives. The Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) of the University of Lausanne, founded in 1911, is a worldclass academic institution with a track record for training capable, responsible, and innovative leaders. Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, HEC Lausanne is one of the most cosmopolitan business schools in Europe.

Personal development and career management
We believe that knowledge alone is not enough to achieve your objectives. Every leader has interpersonal skills that make him or her stand out from the crowd. Indeed, self-awareness, confidence, and social ease play a key role in helping us become the successful, driven, and self-aware individuals we all seek to be.
At HEC Lausanne, we place great emphasis on the development of these soft skills. Our personal development modules that run throughout the programme are specially designed to enhance your interpersonal aptitudes. This segment of the programme comprises compulsory courses together with additional workshops and classes, such as individual and group coaching, career management, public speaking, marketing yourself, and mindfulness workshops.
“The personal development modules allow you to create a positive impact on your environment. It provides not only a powerful set of tools to improve the way you interact with your colleagues but it also sharpens your internal compass so you can build a relevant path and make key decisions for your career.”
Alexandre Rio, EMBA Participant 2016
“We are fortunate to have courses focusing on soft skills as part of the Executive MBA. They have really helped me reflect on my values and priorities. The process of self-reflection is not always an easy exercise, but I clearly see the benefits and there are very interesting takeaways from these lessons. I am aware that they will greatly help me in my job and in my private life, and that I will use them more and more.”

A strong and diverse network
Our participants come from a wide variety of educational and professional backgrounds. They have different personalities but the same willingness to learn, share and excel, which is key to building strong and valuable relationships. Over 15 months, this exchange of knowledge and experiences will broaden your outlook and generate new opportunities. Your social and professional network will flourish, taking on an international dimension while remaining anchored in the Swiss and European economic landscape.
We greatly value diversity, meaning that we evaluate each participant’s professional experience, academic achievement, and personal qualities. This is also what shapes a dynamic and highly beneficial classroom experience. Our programme has one of the highest rates of female participants among European Executive MBA programmes, currently at 40 percent.
